The kid's gun was drawn. Am not surprised the cup did not wait for the kid to take aim. However...
Cops could have let him go (just like some jurisdictions abandon high speed chases). Surely there are enough CCTV cameras to eventually arrest him?
US needs to get civilised and reform gun laws like Australia did.
