your eyes are weak >:( seriously though, i thought about theming a dark mode based on the nonbinary flag (perhaps?) and write a script to switch between them

i've been using light mode to code since visual studio 2013, i guess i'm used to it

have you tried going dark (trying to convert you to the darkside mwehehe)? I only use light theme for word processor and spreadsheet, otherwise I can't use any non dark app.

I've found that redshift and lowering monitor contrast at night is enough to comfort my eyes, but as i said, i'm willing to give it a try when i have the energy to tinker around with the dotfiles
