My favorite fictional universe is Star Trek, but right now I'm really into The Expanse and that's probably more interesting.

Additionally it could be devastating for the federation if one trekkie gets assimilated by borg
I mean, immigration within the Federation is free, right? Just move to Earth. Earth is mostly fine
In 2026 the United States experiences its second civil war, which ultimately starts WWIII. And in Star Trek it's pretty rough too.
