I waited so long to come forward and tell my story because I didn't think anyone would believe me. But now I want people to know what happened to me, because if knowing what happened to me could prevent it happening to them, then I want them to know.

Sorry, I don't use google. ~~But I do know what an acronym is. It's when you only take the initial letters of a phrase. Like SDF. That's an acronym. Acronyms are also abbreviations, because they shorten the phrase.~~

Not sure how they responded, but that's technically not an acronym, as it would need to be sounded out as if a word (e.g. NASA or laser, but not CIA or UTI).

SDF would be an initialism, but not an acronym. Just for your awareness.
