MODERATORS
The human population has nearly tripled during that time period, so that makes sense. Chickens scaled far higher because they are smaller while making up a larger portion of the overall meat consumption.
So yeah, the numbers are disturbing but mostly show that people's eating habits have mostly changed in which meat they eat, not that they are proportionally eating more meat per person.
Doesn't it show that all meat consumption has trippled too, except for chicken, which has grown by factor 10?
