but the King overheard and thought "I have to make lentils so much more expensive then..."
It's impressive and also a little bit depressing how accurate that quote is from almost 2,500 years ago. Shows humanity really doesn't change.
At least in this story Aristippus is gaining something tangible, and presumably he was eating bread and lentils before he sucked up to the king. In Zuck's story, before licking the orange butthole he already had everything. He had to taste spray tan and dingleberries to make his imaginary numbers say something slightly different on paper without changing anything about their impact on his life.
The King: RADICAL ANTI-MONARCHY TERRORISTS are using LENTILS to BAIT YOUR CHILDREN INTO SEX CULTS. This cannot be allowed to continue!!! We MUST remove ALL LENTILS from ANY CIVILIZATION IN THE WORLD IMMEDIATELY.
