I feel like this will be the biggest challenge. Delivering high quality video seamlessly at scale will be incredibly expensive.

I wonder if some kind of torrent technology to distribute the load but would it be fast enough for streaming video?

I've been streaming torrents trough stremio with as little as 5 seeds just fine. So most likely yeah
