I've gone through two NVMe drives these past few years.
Both just started fucking up and crashing my whole OS with them.
I'd be looking hard at my PSU if I was you.
THAT died and got replaced last month.
Came home from a trip
Plugged the machine in
Popping sound
It was dead
I'd say you won't have problems with nvme's dying anymore then.
