If it gets renovated every 8 years or more then it literally does pay back more. Just saying.
But yes the UK should tone the monarch shit way the fuck down, forever.
Is this assuming all tourism to the UK would instantly stop if they became a republic or what
Technically the crown already empowered Parlaiment for all state affairs so they're a Republic now.
Let me put it this way: the number of people who show up for events like marriages, funerals and corronations is surprising even to them. The royal family is a net possitve for Tourism and it would be difficult to emulate that without them.
But I think we should still try it at least once.~___~
If the renovation was the only royal expense…
