This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".
Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.

Sony co-developed Bloodborne. They aren't going to fuck with From at all, I don't think there's any problem with this.
It's the anime and manga that's a larger titan they'll get.
Remember they have a literal monopoly of anime distribution since they own Crunchyroll
The worst possibility for the games is they make fromsoft games exclusive to their platform, and then maybe or maybe not release a PC port of it a year or more later. We saw with bloodborne that that was a "not", and the demons souls remake seems to also be a "not". Other games, I guess we'd wait and see.
Yeah I guess that's fair, I own a PS5 and gaming PC so guess exclusitivity is a blind spot for me.
Microsoft releases a shocking number of their games on the PlayStation.
Sony absolutely will not return the favor.
