This is not up to Harris or politicians to fix, they are not capable of getting people out of this. They will just let you down in new and innovative ways. You talk about the changes they are doing now but I was talking the changes that they’ll need to get reelected in the future - it will be grim and similar to what’s happening all over Europe. Centrist liberal parties are becoming indistinguishable from parties they lost power to (Labour in UK, Renaissance in France, Civic Platform in Poland). It will discourage even more people from participating in politics.

People need to get out in front before it happens to minimise the damage. This means more respect towards people we don’t agree with and that unfortunately includes less poo slinging at bigots. This also means less involvement in treating symptoms because it depletes our capacity for change („orphan-crushing machine”).

yes, hence my efforts on ranked choice in my state. regardless the choices they make in the future are their choices.

the fact is the DNC ran an incredibly unpopular candidate via harris. a candidate who has decided she'd run with the albatross around her neck that is unconditional support for israel and no pro labor policies and in fact has decided to not commit to keeping the most friendly labor FTC head in a generation. thats harris' problem; A proper primary would have resolved this issues if biden has gotten out of his own way and stayed committed to his 1 term statement in 2020 (yes I know he retroactively walked it back).

atm all harris has is 'not trump' and abortion access, access that is already protected in most states that are not deep deep red. And while I'd love for them to be enshrined, its apparently may not be enough for voters in swing states. 🤷 .

I'm crossing my fingers for the swing states but given what I'm seeing doesn't look promising. its too bad everyone was too focused on attacking people for pointing out harris' weak points instead of pressuring harris and their congressional reps to switch positions. 🤷
