In 2014 when Russia invaded Georgia, my grandfather rushed out to the gun store to stock up because "it's only a matter of time before they get to Texas." It took about a week to convince him that there was a country in Europe that was formerly part of the soviet union called Georgia as well and I don't think he ever really believed it.
