I was always aware he existed, but didn't know much about him. I just had the general sense that he was an eccentric billionaire that seemed like an okay guy overall, which is the image he cultivated. As someone who's been disappointed by people I admire revealing themselves to be pieces of shit before, I can empathize with previous Musk fans who aren't right-wing shitheads.
