True ignorance is bliss, like being so free you can ignore the harm being done to you. They’re only halfway there and so are both incredibly upset and fragile while also believing and even encouraging all the things that make their pain even worse.

Which is why, whenever I seen one of them out in the world sporting an "Vote for American Hitler 2024" bumper sticker on their 2021 fresh-off-the-factory-floor-looking F350, I go out of my way to make sure they arrive at their destination furious.
