A neat little app for finding parties in VRChat in realtime!

I have been urging to try out VRChat for ages, but I don't have a headset yet, since I'm waiting for the Deckard or a cheaper PCVR headset that is up-to-date.

How many non-VR people do you see in VRChat? I kinda fear of being left out / discriminated against because of the lack of a headset.

Maybe avoid public lobbies for a bit as RipperStore has an incentive event running to encourage their folks to rip as many avatars as possible in a specific timespan.

This looks so dope. I love the progress that's been made with getting movement to look more accurate and fluid in vrc especially with regard to dancing. It's just so hypnotic.

Hello VRChat!

We've just released a new blog post! In it, we talk about our brand new Community Guidelines and Creator Guidelines.

The Community Guidelines have been completely updated. Instead of summarizing them here, we strongly suggest that you read through them. They’ve been completely rewritten from the ground up, so it’d be hard to summarize them anyway!

Additionally, we’ve created a new set of guidelines specifically for creators – aptly titled the Creator Guidelines.

Generally speaking, none of these guidelines are new or a surprise. These new guidelines do not come with a change to how we’re enforcing our rules, but it does mean that our guidelines are much more clear!

Keep an eye out for the Dev Update thread going live tomorrow, where we'll have a section discussing why we decided to refresh these guidelines (the old ones were old. like really old. like someone wrote them before i worked here dude), and will answer questions regarding them.

There's a conversation happening across Bluesky right now regarding The Metaverse, Decentraland, and VRChat and their longevity. I didn't realize vrchat was funded purely by venture capitalists right now and I'm not sure if that paints a dark picture for it's future?

Can someone enlighten me as to whether vrchat is also going to inevitably end up trying to milk every last drop out of it's users in a twitter or reddit-like death spiral?

I'm trying not to let it get to me but with the current state of various social media and the grips of late stage capitalism, it's hard to imagine vrchat magically surviving without finding a clever way to monetize that doesn't alienate us.
