I have this album playing in the background at work right now. It's probably about the last physical CD I bought. I bought it at one of their gigs at the Corner Hotel about 15 years ago. I think a couple of them even autographed it.

If you remember these guys from the 80's/90's, you'll remember them as a fairly energetic rock band. This CD is something of a greatest hits, but acoustic version. It is basically just the guys sitting around in one of their houses, chilling and playing their songs unplugged. You can really picture a bunch of muso mates sitting around in a circle and jamming for fun with big grins on their faces.

You get a new appreciation of their talent as their songs are stripped right back and re-assembled. I love it! I'd love the perspective of someone who doesn't know their music.

Liner Notes

I’ve been thinking about social media a lot recently, how we all are constantly seeing horrific images, from not just Gaza but all around the world – from Ukraine, Congo, Sudan, the riots in Bangladesh, school shootings in the USA, and closer to home the treatment of First Nations People in incarceration – and that though our gut reaction might be to look away, to hide from it for the sake of our individual mental health, we cannot afford to.

A friend of mine recently said that they were trying to mentally reframe “doomscrolling” as “bearing witness”, and that really resonates with me. At a minimum, it is each of our responsibility to bear witness, and to not forget. Hopefully this little action might ripple outwards in our lives and become waves of positive change.

Not a song, more of a documentary, but I thought it was a really good run down. Not my favourite song, but bloody hell it's depressing what people put her through :/

First post so I hope I'm doing this right. I saw this Rage community and thought I'd post this about my band Velociraptor. We were played on Rage and made "The week's most excellent music videos" list. The song is called "Computer Future Part 1" and it's near the start. Enjoy!

From self-titled album Yirinda.

Yirinda means 'Now' in Butchulla language.

Yirinda combine ancient Aboriginal language with sublime modern production. Fred Leone and Samuel Pankhurst’s music invokes thousands of generations of story and culture, while emerging as something entirely new.

A Community to talk about Music from the Australian perspective.

Telling stories of Australia through music.

With few exceptions, Australian acts are permitted to have one hit in the US charts, then fall out of the international limelight.

Those acts however often have lots of other cool songs!

There are also several Australian acts that just aren't famous globally.
