The word futa or futanari is a term I unfortunately see used against trans women and actual intersex people. It is a term which originated in porn and anime to describe someone with both types of genitals, usually though it just refers to someone who looks feminine and has a penis. So it's no surprise it's very often used to describe non-op trans women primarily. Because it's often used in porn it carries strong connotations of sexualization and dehumanization, it reduces the person being called futa to an object of sexual desire and doesn't respect them as a person.

This term is extremely disrespectful and really has no place being used, especially in reference to trans women. Additionally because of its relation to porn people who use it will almost certainly be seen as chasers.

I found a community for lesbians who speak Toki Pona, but the moderator appears to be banned, similar to the former situation with Lesbians.

Do you think you could find another mod team like how there’s 2 new ones running Lesbians in English?

So, oddly, I can't search the community.

Uh Oh:

The community's existence alone -without a clear satire label- has made a fair number of people uncomfortable. I hope 'uncomfortable' is the greatest extent of harm caused, though to be clear, greater distress not encompassed by this word is a valid response that I don't take lightly. I'm currently working on a way to make the community's intent clear without "ruining the magic".

Please feel free to DM me if you don't feel comfortable commenting publicly

Edit:

Good morning! What a sad thing to read upon first waking lol. Everyone is pretty much saying the same thing, so I'll clarify this bit

The purpose of Chad is to be a hated vector for general satire and high effort shitposting. The purpose of the community is to be a circlejerk-style platform for content that requires a level of moderator scrutiny I can't expect from the mods of regular shitposting communities.

A lot of the content that seems to 'fall flat' are basically inside jokes and obscure references. I've made a post that's only funny if you're a law student; one that's only funny to opera nerds and/or French speakers; some etymology/language gags; two best enjoyed by people with ADHD; one for people who read leftist theory. I include references to ITYSL, Monty Python, Napoleon Dynamite, and more. Much of it is parody of obscure Lemmy things that only the chronically online will catch.

This doesn't mean I think your opinions and feelings about it are in any way invalid. The thoughts shared here have given me a lot to think about, so thank you

Hi I just wanted to let ya'll know that user ChadMcTruth@lemmy.world seems to have created a "free speech" community, could also be read as "freeze peach" as stated in the sidebar. A lot of their content is either trolling, a handful of conspiracy theories, and even a few calls to action. It is my opinion that this community isn't permitted on this instance.

The creator of the community also appears to have many alt accounts, same username, different instances they all moderate his community.

for example, when i go to lemmy.world, i see downvotes, but here, there are none. i find that pretty cool :)

i want to be able to post genuine things without being downvoted to hell, even though they shouldn’t matter to me in the end.

c/Lesbians has no moderators (lemmy.blahaj.zone)
submitted 3 months ago by princessnorah to c/main

Hey, I just wanted to make a post because I noticed the !lesbians@lemmy.blahaj.zone community now has no moderators at all. The one mod was instance banned. I think it would be good if we could have some admin intervention to install a new head moderator. I'm not personally feeling able to put my paw up for that, so if any other blahaj user is up for taking it on please comment here :)

IDK about other people but it makes me feel sick to the stomach being federated with such content. I don't really have any problems with Lemm.ee as a whole but I feel like having an uncritical Nazi salute on the network goes against everything Blahaj stands for.

Their new domain is chapo.chat. We should probably block it now so they don't get a chance to use it to bypass defederation of their server by other instances.

After all they were defederated for good reason.

!GenderAbolition@lemmy.blahaj.zone which was largely created as a backup of the subreddit by the same name is current name is looking for moderators.

In case anyone isn't familiar with what gender abolition is, here's a brief overview. Gender Abolition is the belief that gender roles and gender stereotypes are harmful to people's freedom of expression and must be eliminated to create a more free and accepting society. Gender abolition is sometimes referred to as post-genderism or gender anarchy. More info in the community sidebar.

If anyone would like to help moderate please leave a comment here. Currently we are prioritizing people with accounts on lemmy.blahaj.zone but we will accept moderators from other instances as well.

Hi all,

I’m a Reddit refugee and I’m wondering if we could consider mirroring subs like r/Transgender_Surgeries, r/TransDIY and r/estrogel here (or if not maybe another instance)

If you’re not aware Reddit has made it clear they will probably deploy tools to shut these subreddits down in the nearish future. This has lead us to start looking elsewhere and personally I’m in favour of getting people into the fediverse.

It seems obvious to me the main issue we have with getting people onto the fediverse is momentum. In light of that do you think that we could mirror some of the content from those subs here? Maybe also if we have a bot like this one to seed the content https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/21662525

I for one would be happy to start encouraging people to move here by regularly posting my responses to people’s questions on here with info I know on Lemmy and then linking to my response in the subreddit so they take a peek.

I’ve been researching surgeries for well over half a decade by now and have some surgeries myself so I think people will come if people like me start putting valuable content here.

My issue here is I’m new to the fediverse and probably not the best to take something like this up. I also am working on learning how to set up my own server for the first time and ultimately help others in my network around the world do the same so idk if I’m the best to lead that type of initiative.

It does seem we need someone though and the leader of the Transgender_Surgeries subreddit is too burned out to migrate it (understandably so)

I'm posting because originally when I was looking to create a Lemmy account I came across Hexbear. I read the code of conduct and TOS and to me it seemed like a great fit for me. However, after creating an account there, it seems pretty defederated.

Anyway I was curious on the happenings over there, because they have some cute custom emojis over there... but if there's a reason they're so defederated, I might just pretend i never made an account there

EDIT: omg I just found out this instance has cute blob emojis too :3 ablobcatrave

These are not mine, obviously, plus, I’m a lemmy.ca user (so I apologize for posting here) but I did come across

! meliliolinemeli@lemmy.blahaj.zone and !tonsi@lemmy.blahaj.zone which are both Blahaj Lemmy groups for people who speak Toki Pona.

We created TransSpecies (lemmy.blahaj.zone)
submitted 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) by oftheair to c/main

We created TransSpecies for all of you that don't see yoursel{f/ves} as human and would like to or are doing your best to transition to something that isn't that whether that's internally, socially, with technology or surgery (though it should be noted we don't gatekeep, exploring your identity is a-okay with us and there's no one way to be TransSpecies).

We will not be answering any questions or putting up with any remarks about us not existing or being mentally ill etc, such comments will just be reported and you will be banned from that community.

For all the rest of you, hope to see you there!

(Sorry if this doesn’t belong here, it’s kind of related to the instance.)

For example, I tried subscribing to the Brazil instance, only to find that there was no posts.

When I went to lemmy.pt, there were many posts??

When I made a post saying “hi”, it appears that no one even saw it.

Does that happen to be a blocked instance or something, because I don’t see it on there, but I may have not looked at all the instances.

i thought it was a catchy name for a pansexual group, which I don’t see much of on lemmy, if at all.
