Marx2Mao Archive (littleredlibrary.cc)

cross-posted from: https://lemmygrad.ml/post/291371

This site was created because the OG site didn't have SSL and the original site goes down often.

For those of you who don't know the site it is an impressive archive of Marxist works from Marx to Mao based on the translations published in USSR and Chinese publishing houses.

I know it's mostly used for audio, but I thought it'd be cool to have a lil lemmygrad soulseek room to share books around (and commie music anyway?), so I made one! Feel free to join, it's just called "lemmygrad", just tick the auto-join room option.

For those that don't know, Soulseek is a P2P (but 1-to-1) file sharing app. You mark a folder you like to share and now users can find it's files in the search bar and download them directly (or ask you to if you restrict them).

Rooms lets you chat around and click on users directly to browse what they have, so we can share and aggregate our stuff (=

(if you're on Linux you can use nicotine+ as the front-end which is in the official arch repos and also looks nicer I say)

be aware of sites like this, and that torrent activity is easy to amass data on

I want people to understand how these things work and to be aware that everything on the internet is public. finally understand that all this data collection can be done entirely by an individual, public actor without any necessary special sums of money or influence or power.

Is protonmail legit? (lemmygrad.ml)

Been looking for an alternative to gmail and out of all the ones I've looked at protonmail seems to be the best one.

Well, the question is self-explanatory. I am curious to enter the Deep Web, but I don't know if I would find anything very different there from what I already know on the Surface. In this case, what interests me most are documents, books or any other media that contain information that we can't easily find on the Surface, and this would be my only stimulus to enter the Deep. Would it be worth it?

Hopefully this isn't too far outside the scope of this community, it is piracy, just of a different kind.

However you do not get the mini DLCs that add some side chapters.

So as the old saying goes: Pirate it anyway.

But if you add it now to your account it will stay in there forever.

this is a thread for connecting with peers on personal filesharing sites like retroshare, freenet, tribler, onion service, etc.
drop a username for a site.
use a lemmy alt account to comment if you're concerned about privacy.
you can also list a technology that you prefer to use to see if others will use it too.
you may also want to provide info on expected uptime.

this type of posting could also be made for a few other communities. and.. a community could be dedicated to general exchanging of digital usernames.

there was some controversy about whatsapp's user agreements here in turkey and my party's unit group migrated from whatsapp to... telegram.

What is .apk? (lemmygrad.ml)

A comrade said I should look into .apk if I want to scan books. Anyone know what this is?

"Under the laws, authorities could hack, secretly takeover, and add, copy, and delete material on computers and digital accounts anywhere in the world without the account-holder’s knowledge or consent." no way this will be used to incriminate people

They're doing a holidays thing where they give one free gift every day from Dec. 14 to Dec. 18 and today is the whole game -- without any DLCs of course, so that you'll purchase them yourself lol.

You didn't miss much yesterday, it was some aesthetic content for AC Valhalla.

G*mers being what they are, you can imagine piracy sites attract the worst of the bunch.

I’ve been posting there when an imperialist or communism-themed game makes the rounds (for some reason communism is a big theme in indie games rn), trying to see if I can spread some class consciousness. Mostly it was getting annoying to see the same old reactionary talk and I wanted to push back a little.

It’s so weird because all comments are manually approved before publication, yet the admin doesn’t seem to care and allows anything. There are blatantly racist comments all the fucking time and these get prime time slots just the same as my radical communist propaganda does.

It riles them up like nothing else when you post some communist propaganda though lmao, especially if you can get the first comment.

Oh and otherwise the site is good (www.skidrowreloaded.com), no viruses or anything in the years I’ve used their downloads.

Edit: in the meantime for the interested, here's a mediafire link with a PDF and GPX file I made from a youtube tutorial for the intro of GOAT. http://www.mediafire.com/file/h2b3ps4w2na6ded/GOAT.zip/file

I discovered this amazing prog metal band called Polyphia and their most famous song, GOAT. It's been tabbed by hobbyists in many, many versions but the record company has pulled down all of these amateur tablatures.

That means until further notice, to get the tabs to this incredible song, one has to purchase the official tab book (which includes GPX and PDF files) for 20 dollars on their website.

I figured we shouldn't stand for this, and since I was unable to find a cracked tab book, I figured I'd try my luck here.

The idea is that if a few people are interested in this book, I will purchase it with my own money, and if I you can use the files (provided there's no DRM or I can crack it), only then will we split the cost. Or post them on this page if it's okay with the contributors.

I only need three more people and it's only 5 bucks each for the full tab book. If I can't get the files to work on your computer, then I'll cover the whole cost myself. 20 bucks isn't that much but hey, 5 bucks would be even better and then we can even spread the music so it reaches more people.

If there's a lot of interest we can spring for the complete pack which is only an extra 20 dollars (don't know how many guitarists we are on this website lol).
