On the weekend of October 4th, the MBTA is doing a weekend shutdown diversion of the Green Line from North Station to Somerville and Medford. Green Line service in downtown south of North Station will continue to operate.

I am seeking to commute (round trip) in downtown from North Station (origin of my commute) to Kenmore (destination of commute).

Is it necessary to add extra travel time to travel to and from North Station and Kenmore during the weekend diversion? If so, how much extra travel time per direction?

I am not confident and am unsure whether the MBTA will continue to run full service frequency or if the service frequency will be reduced between North Station and Government Center during the GLX shutdown. The MBTA may turn trains around at Park Street or Govt. Ctr. meaning a longer commute, but I'm not sure how much.

I'm looking for advice from folks who commute between North Station and Kenmore regularly.

The elder Brewster members were caught red handed back in the mid 90s. Mother even served time. Kicked out of the ambulance business for "X" amount of time. (I think it was 10 years).

Scum, criminal family.

Wright's Tower was constructed in 1937 under the direction of the Works Progress Administration. In 2008, following restoration of the tower by DCR, a plaque commemorating the visionary who was responsible for the creation of the Fells was attached to the tower.

Please remember to pack our your trash on any hike, there's a lot of broken glass around this site. A pretty walk nonetheless, and a nice view! It's the stone tower you see along 93 N near Stoneham.

I would like to use darkroom to print a few analog photos the old way.

I found some commercial offerings online. They all either require me to join an expensive workshop or offer rental of the equipement for a price that is more than I could buy complete gear on craigslist. I would just like to bring my own papers and chemicals and use an enlarger for an hour or two... but I live in a small place and don't have space for this hobby.

Isn't there a library or a community center that still has one of these like they used to when I was a kid?

Can anyone point anywhere (except Reddit or Facebook) with up to date info about Market Basket? What are the employees doing?

Last time around customers successfully supported the walkout, to all of our benefit, but are they walking? Is there anything organized this time?

This is one of my favorite places along the esplanade (one of many). It’s a great spot to read something, play video games, or just chill and take in the view. Anyone have any spots like this they don’t mind sharing?

I visited your awesome city in February of this year. Despite the Boston stereotypes, I found the people very outgoing and friendly. I'm from Portland where I wanted to explore the NE USA since I love train travel and walkable cities. During my travels in Boston, I carefully chose to stay in an Airbnb room near MIT since hotel prices can be absurdly expensive and I wanted to be ethical. From there, I walked across the Longfellow Bridge to Back Bay and made my way to Beacon Hill where I checked out Quincy Market, Newbury Street and Seaport.

I hoped to escape the dark and dreary PNW weather in exchange for colder but much more sunnier weather. Little did I know that this winter would be a difficult one. It snowed on my first day Temperatures hovered around 22°F (-6°C), but the lack of wind and dry sunny weather made it feel similar to a dreary 40°F (4°C) day back home.

The old-world British architecture and layout made the city feel very vibrant and inviting, even in the difficult winter months. I was impressed seeing so many people outside and enjoying the vibrant ambiance on Newbury Street. Thank you Boston!

Sorry for the link from The Other Site, but I thought this was too good to pass up. This is attitude is one of the main reasons I love this city so much. When the chips are down, we don’t fuck around. No tolerance or quarter for fascist bigots.
