Typically if I'm visiting my family the drive is about 2.5 hrs. On some public holidays, Christmas included, that can be 3 or 3.5 hrs.

Today I cancelled my trip after being stuck in traffic 20 minutes with an estimate of 4.5 hrs total for the trip. It's insane. I remember similar times from other years too. Only this time with this petrol situation I'm just not doing it.

I don't understand why??? Is this the only long weekend of the year? What gets into people's minds?

Looks like Knox council is thinking of pulling the plug on 3/4yo kinder and are looking to privatise all of the council run Kinders.

Running costs are too high even with the subsidy... (Apparently)

These things always end up costing money despite the projections, but where are the going to be held now and at what would appear to be a fairly late stage?

Not worth his salary but will continue to take it and most likely get a raise next year

Sad that this becoming more common in regional areas and along with less bulk billing making it harder for people to access early gp care.
