I like to prepare for everything. With the US house of reps passing the block med care for trans kids and RFK remored to announce it completely blocked, what are my options?

Off the top of my head 1) get meds in Canada or Mexico or 2) move out of the USA

One that always annoyed me is when it is around the holidays, when stores advertise gifts for men. They always assume a guy is into toilet humor, beer humor, assuming they're a lumberjack who needs to survive out in the wilderness, are into bbq-ing all of the time so gotta have those available all year around for some reason.

Even when I used to have identified myself as a guy, I never once fit into any of those traits. Just because guys grow beards, doesn't always mean they're chopping wood somewhere and always wearing plaid.

By "Asian Countries", I'm specifically referring to East Asia and Southeast Asia... you know, the countries affected by british imperialism and the drug problem the brits caused in the past.

Every industry is full of technical hills that people plant their flag on. What is yours?

I'm on crutches. Was planning to take a baked brie but don't feel like standing in the kitchen to make it. Someone will already do chicken nuggets. Have any ideas for a hot appetizer or something people will like i can pick up on the way?

Just did an A.I. workshop today on how to improve my resume, cover-letter, and job search.

In general I don't use AI for much of anything, so while most of the info was pretty basic and kinda, well, useless, I did actually learn a few new things today.

It's funny, I went to college and got my degree in mechanical engineering. I'm glad I went and it's definitely made my career easier. However, as a power plant operator, in my state a degree isn't needed, just licensing.

I like scrambled eggs to omelette. Less fried surface I guess.

Edit: shoulda said "same ingredients only" but I suppose this was clear enough.

What are you most Excited in 2026?
There's so much going on next year, What are you waiting to happen? Me personally I'm excited for some of the games we finally get to experience such as Hytale & GTA 6.

'Slop' - Commonly used to describe AI and is a common criticism of things people deem lacking in quality in entertainment mediums.

'Slams' - Commonly used in headlines to describe how critical someone's views are towards another.

For context, I (23M) live in the United States. In Ohio. A bit concerned about privacy because of the whole Nazi problem and the fact that I live in an abusive household.

I've been working on myself a lot recently and realized that I can't do this alone anymore (or rely on Internet strangers to talk about my issues). I feel like I finally have the strength to ask for help in the real world. I've just never done this before. What's it like? Is it warm and fuzzy, or cold and analytical? (Does it feel like someone is providing care and comfort, or is it more like an emotionally detached scientist meticulously studying you and scribbling down notes while mumbling "Hmm, I see, I see" while you yap at them?) Do you start to see results right away, or are things slow at first? How much stuff is recorded in a database that other systems can look up?

My immediate answer - Sonic fans.

I don't really know what Sega and the Sonic Team can do anymore to make these fans happy. They've revisited the classic formula a few times, they tried going modern routes, they tried 2-D sprites in some entries, they try going full 3D and whatever. Nothing ever seems to be enough and that's even when they've tried listening to the fanbase a few times.

Nothing seems to matter, regardless. The fans will find something to be upset about with Sonic. Anything.

There really should be list somewhere, so all these greedy idiotic companies pushing slop on us can flounder in their losses when the bubble pops.

ESPECIALLY any media-related company that is using AI now to push slop, they can NEVER be trusted again no matter what (ie, spotify)

Id like a list so I can donate/support any anti-AI projects/companies.

First off, I have no interest in being a mathematician. Math was always and continues to be quite difficult for me.

So, as an outsider to advanced math, it blows my mind that there are people who's entire job title is mathematician. How does that work? What does a mathematician do?

Isn't it kinda crazy that we just administer a drip of fentanyl into a mother giving birth?

Do people even know that's what a epidural is?

I mean like, actually understand beyond just exchanging a few words a day. Like knowing hobbies, favorite foods, political opinions, favorite tv/movie/youtube channels/music/genre of entertainment, etc... overall likes and dislikes... you know what I mean...

From the very very little digging I did, track_15.ogg is Spokoynaya noch by the band Кино (Kino). Some of the other tracks here might also be from Кино. Anyone able to ID the rest?
