Resigned? Fired? #Sens owner Michael Andlauer says he met with GM Pierre Dorion last night and said the penalty for forfeiture of pick should be "no less" than his job.

"This could have been avoided."

Dorion agreed and they agreed to part ways.

So... Suspended 41 games. Possibly a blessing in disguise, but wtf happened? Had to be betting on his own games, right? Anything less, and the punishment seems too harsh.

Hey! I reached out to our mod and haven’t heard back. Might be a case of trying out Lemmy then not sticking around I’m not sure. No grudge or hate at all I’m happy someone kicked things off. I would just like this community to get a chance at thriving and hard to do that without an active mod.

What are you guys holding out hope for this season? I'd like:

• A top 6 wing to replace Cat (Senko isn't ideal imo but on short term I'd take it)
• A couple players to shore up the bottom 6. Zack MacEwen is a warm body, but I'd like to see us take a swing on someone who could really elevate our bottom 6. Maybe Zadina?
• A return for Cat that immediately helps our playoff prospects. By all accounts we're not getting a blue chip prospect back so I'd like a player that could move the needle for us in a playoff series. If Detroit is the trading partner I want Kubalik +
• I wanted a goalie and I guess the sens answer is Korpisalo. I hate it tbh but it sounds like we weren't getting Hart or Saros so what can you do.

The National Capital Commission is willing to wait to get a deal in place to build a new home for the Ottawa Senators at LeBreton Flats.

Tobi Nussbaum, the chief executive officer of the NCC, confirmed after the board of directors meeting Thursday morning on Elgin St. that the Senators have been given an extension on the due-diligence period of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) until the fall.
