Not a new board (made it in Jan?) but boy howdy was this a bad decision purely of my own making.

I was like, "yeah, let's go lopro for real!" At the same time, I decided to go with pinks, with the smallest amount of force required to clickity clack. Turns out that was a bad idea. My fingers are apparently small hammers and even the gentlest breeze will type on the board. It looks friggin beautiful, but oh my god is it hard to type on.

That said, I was on a 36 key split before this and looooved it, so adding the extra columns at the ends threw me for a big loop as well.

At least I have another pretty board to add to my display!

I had that issue and switched to sunsets. I absolutely love them!

Thumb ball gang! What mouse is that? Have you tried Logitech's MX Ergo? If so, what do you like about yours?

That's the Elecom Huge. It, as advertised, is HUGE. I love it to death. It's like a hug for my entire hand and then some. I haven't tried the MX ergo, but a few people I've known over the years liked it a lot.

The Ergo has been my daily for few years now, and some iteration of Logitech's style of thumb ball since about 2004, I'll never go back!

I asked though because i was curious to have a point of reference for looking at the differences. What do you like about the Huge?

Overall it's really just super comfy. The wrist rest is fantastic for sitting at a desk for hours. The index finger on the ball was a bit hard to get used to but after a few days my finger looked like Mr. Incredible's chest though.

The software to customize the buttons is really nice too. Cross platform, so it was trivial to setup custom stuff for my work MacBook and my PC separately (same workstation, but I've got a dock that switches all my devices between the two)

I may go pick up an ergo now though. I've been running this one for a few years now so it's time to waste money on more peripherals I guess!

Oh! I feel like I'd cramp up with an index mouse, but that's neat!

I love my Ergo, honestly. The programmable buttons are really nice, and i like the horizonal scroll wheel leaning. Plus the angle is a lot more comfortable than their other ball mice.

What's really made a difference for me though is the precision mode button. It's upped my graphic design game in a major way! It honestly feels kind of like having a half-assed tablet as far as the more precise control goes! It's waaay easier to draw with, though if i were doing more freehand stuff (and could draw for shit) obviously a tablet would be better.

Aurora Lily58. PCB was by SplitKB. Probably an awesome board, but as it turns out I prefer super tall caps.

Ah, fair enough. I have a low profile choc Sofle on the way which is why I was wondering! Been using a Q1 with Keychron’s KSA lately but decided I want to try a low profile board again. Gotta preserve my wrists and I don’t like wrist rests.
