If retail sales and home growing are illegal, how do people get weed? Bringing over state lines?
It's honestly unclear what effect these bills will actually have, and they come with a giant asterisk:
It’s widely believed that Republican New Hampshire Gov. Kelly Ayotte would stand in the way of any adult-use legalization bill that were to make it to her desk this session, however. A former U.S. senator and state attorney general, Ayotte said repeatedly on the 2024 campaign trail that she would oppose efforts at adult-use legalization.
Some edits made because, dear god, that was not anywhere in the vicinity of AP Style. I mean, that entire graf needs to be recast, but I ain't doing that shit for free. Points for the correct use of the subjunctive, I guess?
