As your basic Independent/Democrat ... I don't give two shits about the Middle East. They were killing each other a thousand years ago, and a thousand before that ... nothing will stop it. A politician should not be more worried about the middle east than his own country.

It was not always like that. More often then not the area was somewhat united under some kind of empire.
