Have you ever seen Israelis and actual Palestinians? Palestinians are pretty diverse themselves regarding skin color and looks. There are Palestinians with African features and dark skin, as well as ones with red hair and blue eyes. The region at the crossroads between Africa and Asia has always had different kinds of people moving there.

However, after generations of Ashkenazi's treating the local Mizrahi's as second class citizens, the Mizrahi's have become the most rabid Zionists. Its a similar dynamic to how second class whites become the most racist.
No, the ones who vote for Netanyahu‘s Likud and other right wingers are mostly Mizrahi from the Middle East and North Africa. Ashkenazi are more likely to vote left or centrist parties.
