Is there any chance kbin will give chatrooms a go like reddit did? Except maybe get it right and not abandon it halfway through? (kbin.social)

I really miss chatrooms in general, and I thought we were due for a comeback for the year or two reddit was running them, what with the userbase they have.

Have you tried joining a discord server? That may be more of what you’re looking for.

Discord is a proprietary technology, which can go the way of Reddit at any moment. Discord 'servers' may feel like something self-hosted by the 'owners', but there are not much more independent from Discord as individual subreddits are from Reddit.
