Taiwan's Tern Bicycles has listened to its customers and delivered a belt-drive Vektron folding ebike as part of the fourth-generation rollout in the US, which also includes a regular chain-driven flavor that offers a sportier ride.

As a Tern owner, I am here to tell you that you can approximate the benefits of a belt by waxing your chain. It lasts over 1000km on a single treatment, doesn't dirty your clothes or hands, doesn't pickup dirt, runs smoothly and silently and your drivetrain stays light and easy to service. Waxing is trivial with the newish Silca waxing system.

Sloppy conditions aren't a problem for waxed chains?

They're less so than lubed chains as far as I understand.

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.
