There is a legitimate quote from Plato in the Socratic dialogs that is relevant though...
Especially in this context:
Social media is RUINING OUR CHILDREN!
Video Games are RUINING OUR CHILDREN!
Rock and Roll is RUINING OUR CHILDREN!
Dungeons and Dragons is RUINING OUR CHILDREN!
Comic Books are RUINING OUR CHILDREN!
Jazz is RUINING OUR CHILDREN!

For people not following, he was saying that if he was the corrupter of youths and weak-minded men, then everyone else must be improvers. Because not everyone else are improvers (logically speaking in this argument), it means many people were responsible for the corruption and he alone is not responsible.
The first statement isn't valid
He was on trial.
