The app is under ongoing development, here is a list of the features that are being implemented:

1. timeline view (Public/Local/Subscriptions) with ability to switch feed type

2. post detail, i.e. opening a conversation or reply in its context

3. user detail with ability to see posts/post and replies/pinned/media posts

4. login/logout to one's own instance

5. view notifications and check for unread items

6. view one's own profile

7. see trending posts/hashtags/news

Consider logging in using a third-party app as api calls are less taxing on the server resources as this method avoids the user-interface from needing to be loaded in. As Friendica's software currently is not optimized for the activity of thousands of users.

The instance tends to function better on Raccoon than on the direct website in my experience.
