nothing bc he didnt go to high school and probably didnt even exist

[-] SCmSTR 2 points 22 hours ago

No I think the current scientific theory is that lots of crazy guys did exist in that area and era named Jesus, but he was brown and not magical at all and all the stories and stuff are totally made up and it's basically the same bullshit that the mormons follow, because it's the same template in every single cult.

ha, nice summary

I would expect them to act like Christians, or at the very least, not do things that will get them sued.

There's nowhere in a school charter that says, oh, I'm sorry you like boys. I know you've completed all of your compulsory education, but because of your activities outside of the school that have nothing to do with the school itself, you have to start over from kindergarten.

Actually, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they had something like that in there lol... Christian schools are insane (can't wait for my taxes to start subsidizing them!)

Either way, this person graduated whether they get the piece of paper that says it or not. They could spin this into a positive if they do it right... Many schools would not see this as a bad thing, and it could also make for a killer college essay

I went to a Christian school and it was staffed by parents who wanted to save money on the costs of sending their kids to Christian school.

The sheer volume of could not give a fuck was immeasurable as long as it didn't affect them personally.

pretty sure that gays burning in hell is a christain idea

[-] bizarroland@fedia.io 2 points 5 days ago

Pretty sure that the idea is not limited to Christians.

[-] loomy@lemy.lol 3 points 5 days ago

for sure, it's most religions, and some athiests too

Why do cults hate queers? I would think you could just write us in as like... Subservient to the family as extra resources or something.

It's probably the afterlife thing. You need people to make babies so that people are afraid and cope properly by relying on your cult. Can't reinforce your cult with people who aren't going to recruit the strongest members: brainwashed from birth.

That, and the existence of gays asks a lot of questions about existence that VERY MUCH destroy the logic of what the cults need to survive.

people don't like untraditional and/or gross, it scares them, that's all

Most Christian schools have vague morality clauses in the contracts for students and staff alike.
