Is there a way to set an option to manually refresh the front-page feed? When I set it to "All" (or even sometimes to "Local"), I'll get a constant flood of posts being added onto page, and it's so fast that I can't keep up. This happens no matter what sorting method I choose; even "Most comments" will have a dozen brand-new threads with 0 comments drop onto my screen within just a few seconds.

I'd like to use "All" to find more communities to subscribe to, but right now, it's impossible to use. In the time it takes me to read a thread title, 15 more have pushed it off the bottom of the screen.

I can't find the source now but I could've sworn I saw a thread where someone said that it would be fixed in the next version of the front end.

The next version is/was supposed to solve the problem, but they put it out to the public this morning and it broke some things, so right now it's still in testing.

At least it's being worked on, good enough for me. :)

I haven't hd this issue browsing from jerboa is you have that option

On jerboa I've constantly streaming error and timeouts when I switch between accounts. The app is kinda unusable if you use more than one account.

That's a shame. I only have this one account but really hope the jerboa devs can get some support on their app building

Yeh it doesn't bother me that much. Annoying yes, but not the end of the world. Lemmy devs are for sure overwhelmed because of that reddit nonsense. Pretty sure that many shortcoming of the Lemmy software only shows now with many more users that couldn't be really seen or tested before.
