What class do you think the South represented? They were wealthy landowners who acquired their wealth by exploiting their slaves and the ignorant poor.
What class do you think republicans represent? Republicans offer trillions in tax cuts to the ultra wealthy who gained their wealth by exploiting their workers.
And they’ve gotten smarter at convincing idiots that they’re “temporarily embarrassed millionaires” so they should also fight for the wealthy, against their own interests
Those are the slaves.
