He's doing stuff with a laptop in one hand and his phone in his other. You can't hold onto railings like that. Definitely not safe for work.

You have no connection to the surface and focus on rooms that keep you warm and naked?

I suppose the original was untranslatable.

Utterly. I tried to still keep the topic of "so many applied fields in comp sci" though.

Interesting that people notice. You made my day a little brighter here :)

Maybe the anti-chatbot-chatbot just screams "REPRESENTATIVE" repeatedly? Nobody said it had to be smart.

Ha, that's actually awesome :D. Dang, maybe I even heard about that years ago, forgot about them and now thought I'd just have had a nice comic idea. Oh well, however the synapses fire, I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Guess with your link I won't do him any favour if I take this down as unoriginal, so I'll just leave it up and consider it free advertisement for him.

/edit Also, I don't think he came up with the idea of showing Frozen and Die Hard in the same cinema so you can enjoy a theater with your kid while avoiding Let It Go, so at least that part's an original idea ;). Yeah, that'd require headphones.

Oh, this was by no means meant to degrade the idea of picking up something from pop culture. It was meant to capture that weird situation or feeling when seemingly the whole world connects something you like to some particular item from popular culture that you don't know about. That's not supposed to say that those people are wrong in any way, but it does make it kind of hard or annoying to discuss that topic. Should you then dump your hobby to play the recorder instead? I mean, maybe, if you live in a four-panel-world that needs a punchline ;). Playing OOT would of course have been a solution as well, especially since Zelda games are time well spent, but wouldn't have been as funny.

Also leaving this here. https://youtu.be/79Y6Q47qjlw

I love it.

I still wish there was a real instrument that sounds as cool as that app

a real instrument

Like... An ocarina?

But much less vocal.

You know, because we'd all be dead.

Luckily (for me) it's just raster graphics, so there's an obvious end after just 4 steps when it all disappears in just a handful of blurry pixels.

Thinking about it, this kind of comic maybe should be published as a map tile server so people can zoom in as deep as they want.

If your toddler replaces "why" with "can I play minecraft", it has probably expired (at least with regards to its job as a debugging tool) and you might consider getting a fresh one.

It saves space! Hard drives are expensive. Each whitespace is like... a whole byte! On Windows, a new line is two bytes!!
