Disney Plus straight up refusing to run anything while we were on vacation just made me really mad. Here I am setting up the tablet for the kid, and then - nah wrong region mate. Even VPN didn't help somehow.
That's good UX, the real fuckup is using default admin credentials om your router.
I find it hilarious that the stereotypical reddit power hungry mod turned into the indentured servant hero standing up against a greedy corporation.
One of the reasons is security, older Android APIs let your apps do whatever they want. You probably could try to find an apk that would work on older devices, but google has minimal API requirements that involve permissions and data access, and if your app doesn't support them it wont be allowed on the Play Store. So even if devs supported other devices, you wouldn't find the app on the store.
Not to rag on you, but do consider security risks associated with using an unsupported OS. Take care.
Hey, I'm not much of a transcriber, but if you guys need any kind of infrastructure or tool hosting, I'd gladly donate my resources.
I know at least one creator that started posting to Utreon, both public and for paid tiers. I haven't went after them yet, but if Utreon would create something like Twitch Prime and pay creators for views, plus a bunch od other creators I follow would start posting there, I'd be happy to drop youtube for most dedicated (not-random-scroll-consumption) content. In favour of Utreon.
I tried to upvote OP post on reddit and RIF reminded me I'm not logged in. I frowned, then I laughed.
Past-self high-five.

There is no free will because who, what and where you are conditions you to make a certain choice every single time, and there is no will external to all that what you are and you experienced so far.
It's kinda related to the multiverse theory, where every choice or chance creates a new version of reality and if you had made another choice it wouldn't be YOU.
At least that's what they argue. I also think of it this way.
