It’s the adult version of horror movies I guess. I must say that I haven’t felt true fear in a long long time. That’s good, great even but I imagine for some crazy people it may elicit this sort of response. The fear is a strong emotion that makes you feel alive. Without regularly supplying it it’s all sort of dull.

So as you go and conquer all your fears step by step the final challenge looks dumb and suicidal and it kind of is, that’s the point.

Kinda popular sport lately. There was that person from Poland climbing skyscrapers all over the world without any safety. I think they are still alive even.

Eiffel Tower looks easier to climb than a glass tower but I could be super wrong

So again deleted my comment accidentally omg. I very like this idea. It’s burdensome but every phone already has simillar scanner. I wonder about privacy though. Can it be anonymised like monero?

I imagine it as an optional feature and then verified people can opt in to only show other verified humans in some kind of next gen web similar to fediverse. Then two layers form naturally one of verified humans and the good old internet Wild West.

Yesterday I have been arguing way too long with someone that was convinced the snipers on Ohio protests are here to shoot protesters. I still failed to talk some sense into them and stopped eventually but it was exhausting.

I don’t think they were alone in this as the post had thousands of likes and some wanted to throw pipebombs and this kinda stuff

I wonder if the nft tech could be used to mark everything real with a proof of authenticity. Then those things that aren’t on the chain would be considered suspicious and you would have automated green border around any content that is authentic and red for the outside of the blockchain

I know that we all want to enjoy things and don’t live in fear like rats but keeping your pics online nowadays is not a good move. Though I guess if they are already there it’s kinda too late probably?

The AI will become utter garbage, mark my words. It will complete the downfall of the internet though first. What will come after internet? Hard to say maybe we will exchange culture in VR? Probably at some point every kind of forum will be unreadable from automated marketing and propaganda. Reddit already is. Lemmy is too small… yet but it will crash even harder if it is noticed by the wrong people. 2 years tops to enjoy this medium

Though I admit I am somewhat of a doomer inclined so maybe there is a way to create alternative that cannot be poisoned

Unfortunately so much stuff on the web is astroturfed it’s hard to form a good opinion nowadays.

Even the products reviews or maybe especially these it’s hard to tell what is true nowadays and what is fiction or misinfo

Id love to brush it off and say eh just paranoid but there’s real money and motive.

Reddit was relatively good for some time but then I heard it’s already full of marketing

As always - extreme. 5/7 days I feel like a god(dess?) and other 2 like something slimy at the bottom of the barrel. Today is one of the worse so I need to watch myself to not say something stupid and not be a complete troll menace but if I survive then in 2 days I come back again with boundless love for the world yay.

Hard to get used to this rollercoaster sometimes I just need to not use any social media in those 2 days but always fail haha

Also bought whole apple lineup watch, phone, laptop, ipad, airpods this week suddenly because now I am an apple fangirl.

But it made sense right, I wanted to use google comfy life easier making features but didn’t want to give up my privacy or install some graphene os madness that would make life just harder

Starfield problem isn't execution but the design. It was the least problematic launch ever

Holidays! Almost the end of them and I am so tired I must say. In a good way I think but I will need to recover at home for a few days.

I am addicted to internet and mmos and I managed to curb it a solid bit due to holidays but it never lasts honestly.

Here I was doing 10k steps a day bare feet on the beach walks, generally being more healthy than at home and I fear I will slump again into my old habits of sitting and mmoing all day. Already bought ffxiv complete edition on sale.

Frankly lemmy is also part of my eternal crusade against digital addictions
