While I'm a Verstappen fan I really want this to stop. It's not exciting and as an additional thing it might lead teamsvto leave their drivers out in dangerous conditions hoping to gain track position in case of a red flag.

17 to 1st, even under the conditions is amazing. What a race by Verstappen.

Do you honestly think they will use this race? I would think it's much too complex in racing which they usually avoid to bring interpersonal stories. (Not a complaint, it's a show about stories in F1, not about racing)

This has been going on under the current rules for a very long time. This time it benefits Verstappen while it's very often negatively affected him.

But I totally agree, the rule should be that 1 pitstop with a different tyre is mandatory. Red flags should never be allowed to negate the mandatory tyre change.

To be fair to Norris he knows he just needs to not crash and stay ahead of Max. Russell knew that and just needed to start well enough to make him nervous.

He's not really lost time to Russell and seems to be catching up now (lap 13). I suppose he'll try to pass if Max gets to p5 or p4.

The previous videos were too long for anyone who doesn't want to obsess about this. And this one is more pragmatic about your detergent of choice and thus more palatable for people who aren't already fans of his.

It's also takes him less time to make videos like this according to the messages on his patreon.

Personally I'm a fan of him remaking some videos like this. I can get my family to watch this a lot easier.

Remember that violent protests were used in Europe to establish our rights. It's incredibly weird looking to the US from the outside. You have the right to bear arms, specifically to oppose tyranny, yet nobody seems to do so.

Seems I'm in the minority but having to use my phone number as identier is exactly why I don't use apps like this, including WhatsApp. I don't care if my username gets shared, but I do not want my phone number to be shared with a bunch of randoms.

They literally had that experiment with Premium Light. €6 for ad free watching, it was all I needed. But they literally sent out a mail they were stopping this tier right before they started implementing more anti-ad blocking measures.

Ric just outqualified Perez at his home track, with an AT. What a statement. Let's see if he can put a result on the board tomorrow.

Vac bans mean you can't play on vac secured servers. Nothing happens to your other games. For a competitive multiplayer game some anticheat detection is wanted. People changing their dll's to gain a competitive advantage is cheating. AMD making and distributing this unintentional cheat doesn't change that.

I agree that buying directly or through GoG and backing up your games is the best thing to do. But this incident isn't really related to that.

Most reactions here are focusing too hard on the title. These clubs aren't like, nor inspired by 'Fight Club'. These groups pose as groups for men wanting to connect with other men so they can learn about physical and mental health, philosophy and self defense. The sports they train are absolutely effective and the hope they get brain damage from this is naive. They practice the same principle that most sane martial arts gyms use since many of them are involved in those as well.

Some will even have chapters for women so they can learn about their sacred and divine femininity and reject the modern capitalist pressures society puts on them of being both a career woman and homemaker and wife.

And very few of them are actually obvious about their neo Nazi roots. They usually just stick to neo paganism with some cherry picked Christianity tossed in for good measure.

Interesting to see it really seems like everyone across the board used less and less energy.

What did you all change? Any specific tools or tricks?

Personally I didn't even change my heating level but just used the timers a lot more with sharper cutoffs. And I did use smart plugs between my media appliances and my pc to make sure they are off when I leave the house, as well as being less casual about turning off the lights in rooms that I'm not in. Compared to 2019 (so before more WFH) that's like a 20% savings on gas, and 15% on electricity for me.

Fryday Friday (lemmy.world)

It's friday already so let's start discussing something that hasn't been done here and discuss a couple of important questions. (or whatever else you want it's the chat topic after all)

  • What day is the correct day to eat fries from the frituur and why is it friday.
  • What do you order at the frituur?
  • Why are people who use frikandel weird and people who say lange hamburger clinically insane? Civilized folk use curryworst after all.

I know it's most likely a beginner question but it's what I am I suppose.

For extra context, I generally have about 6-10 hours to spend to game per week and I find I do enjoy the main quest but after spending a couple days only doing that it feels like I'm missing out by ignoring some of the side quests.

I only have 1 charachter so far and it's lvl35 at around the start of ACT2.

Will I lose out on powerlevel if I just try to get through the main quest first for now and look into doing sidequests afterwards? Am I making my life harder if I do sidequests first?

Right now I think I would like to be able to participate in the seasonal with a new class to try out, since it is still an expensive game and I want to feel like I experience more than just one class.

What are you going to see and what gem do you recommend?
