I personally find winter better because its far easier to warm yourself up than it is to cool yourself down imo.

If you’re cold you can just put on a big coat

But there’s only so many layers you can take if you’re too hot before it becomes illegal in public

[-] Darkassassin07@lemmy.ca 28 points 1 year ago

Even that doesn't help. Now I'm just sunburned and under arrest...

It also doesnt help much if the air is saturated with water, hence warming up, has far fewer restrictions, then cooling down.

The sole advantage cooling down has that it has a free option.

In the winter, an rtx 3090 is a warm companion as you play endlessly during the long nights. In the summer, it's a losing hand at a game of strip poker.

For real lol i can't chat with my friends when I game during the summer because I have to leave my door open because it becomes like dangerously hot in my room otherwise

Summer is better during winter, but winter is better during summer.

Now that’s the answer I know is correct.

Winter: “I can’t wait for spring, it’s so cold” Spring: “I cant wait for summer, I hate pollen” Summer: “I can’t wait for fall, it’s so hot.” Fall: “I can’t wait for winter, these leaves are so annoying.”

Hate summer

I live in Scotland. In winter we get no daylight.

Where I live, nowadays the perfect months are May and September, and occasionally June. The rest are unacceptable - lack of sunlight and constant rain, or scorching heat and humidity.

[-] ikiru@lemmy.ml 8 points 1 year ago

Unironically yes.

Summer gang was here.

[-] i11@lemm.ee 7 points 1 year ago

I like summer more because it’s easier for me to get out than during winter. There are times I’m stuck in home for week because it’s too cold to go out. It’s hot outside during summer but you can wait it out till evening. Also, less clothes to wear :D

One day we will miss this weather because it will be cold compared to our temperature. So technically summer gang would be right in the long run.

I spend the winter enjoying the feeling of being "intentionally warm", and I love how cute I look layered up in jackets and scarves. During the summer, I am sticky, covered in itchy and burning mosquito bites, and the seatbelt buckle burned my hands.

[-] wander1236@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 year ago

I never miss the summer

[-] danielton@outpost.zeuslink.net 6 points 1 year ago

I get 5-7 months of snow every year. I cherish every minute of summer!

[-] OrganicLife@reddthat.com 5 points 1 year ago

As someone who doesn't hold body heat well, I'd rather be too hot than too cold.

[-] PlasmaK@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 year ago

Malaria is hot right now

[-] AtomicPopsicle@beehaw.org 3 points 1 year ago

Alternatively: “Wow, you live in Florida? The sunshine must be so great without the cold!”

[-] OrganicLife@reddthat.com 2 points 1 year ago

No just a thin guy. Wish I were a lizard person. Atleast I'd be rich.
