Feel free to post your book recommendations here or just talk about your favorites.

As a tip and a reminder; please prioritize using your local library when looking for books. These centers of community are some of the most cottagecore things in existance. You're not expected to spend money, you are not advertised to 99% of the time and if you are it's about local events and offerings. Remember that cottagecore is a beautiful aesthetic but at it's heart it is a return to local communities, libraries serve those communities better than anything else. Go get your library card!

Tea (startrek.website)

Let's talk about tea!

In the summer I enjoy fresh peppermint tea (mint seems to be one of the few plants that grow in my garden 😭). Now that the mint is dormant, I've been mixing oolang (for its health benefits) with jasmine and rooibos to soften the flavor.

Also, I love my electric kettle, it makes boiling water so quick and easy!

The photo is my most treasured tea pot which I inherited from my grandma. Let's see your beautiful tea related china!

Quilted-core (startrek.website)

I'm getting into quilts recently (especially scrappy ones really fit my vibe) so here's my first try at free motion quilting. Anyone else have nice quilted decor to show off?

These are both made using the Fable Dress pattern from Twig and Tale and are made from pinwale corduroy to wear during the colder months. The mustard yellow bits on the rust coloured dress are ties and the pockets. I have made this dress at least 6 times, er, maybe 7?

Your grandma, but like, hip.

Cottagecore is an internet aesthetic popularised by adolescents and young adults celebrating an idealized rural life. Originally based on a rural English and European life, it was developed throughout the 2010s and was first named cottagecore on Tumblr in 2018.
