It makes you wonder who's actually pulling the strings of dotworld. The instance owners have the same pro-corporate, pro-capitalist, anti-leftist, anti-communist stance as Reddit. π€

Thank you for posting this well sourced reply. I'm sorry that you're being downvoted. Libs have an aneurysm anytime someone challenges their current world view. Socialism with Chinese Characteristics is on my to read least and I may just have to start reading it tonight.

I almost installed, but the permissions it asks for feels a bit extreme. I'll probably stick to creating my own theatre mode by using the enhancer full window mode with the pop-out chat to the side.
Lots of liberals on here parroting the "should have gotten out when they had the chance" line. In reality, the threat of capital flight is largely a myth. Sure, you can maybe escape with much of your finance capital, but you can't take the factories and the worker who fill them with you.

It's an inconvenient truth for sure. I'm using sync right now because it's the best app experience on android at the moment if you don't need to top level post and because I used it with Reddit. This wasn't a big deal with Reddit imo, but using a closed source app to access an open source platform feels wrong.
