@Lodreus That is a poor service. Had those issues in the past but not for a few years now. Drop me a DM if you still looking.

@Jon-H558 They should be free. They are here in Wales.

Recommendations for Holiday Hires.

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to such a topic but I have always wanted to take a short break on a #Narrowboat

I was hoping this would be a place to ask for some recommendations on good ethical people/companies to hire from?

As for location I would be looking for somewhere near where i grew up #Stourbridge #Stourport .

@PragmaticOne @doublejay3000 LISTS! I forgot about that! thanks for the tip!

[-] TedWard@toot.wales 2 points 1 year ago

@doublejay3000 Honestly I am unsure how it all works. I think the post is created on the mastodon server i am on then pushes it to the place you tag. Maybe its a cross post?

I'm still unsure if using the one account over many fediverse service is really workable. I know people are working on more support between lemmy and mastodon but right now it is a little bit janky.

@Kichae @dragontamer @goat But was it the right tool for what they want?

[-] TedWard@toot.wales 6 points 1 year ago

@goat @dragontamer

I read the "essays" the beehive have to "join" and take part. In my view they wanted to make a space for their own community and choose a fediverse where they should have picked a closed off forum/discord/redditcopy.

@unitedkingdom You can also follow communities and people on #Lemmy from mastodon.

To do so you copy the url into the search on #mastodon

You can also do this to reply to posts.

@Lubricate7931 You sum up how a lot of people feel and use that site. I am one who is the same as you.

A little warning for dog owners in Wales

"Dog walkers should be extra vigilant around #Pembrokeshire #Wales coastline this weekend after a dog was killed after eating a toxic #palmoil berg washed up on Newgale beach"

If this works I should post to the feddit.uk lemmy community from mastodon @unitedkingdom
