They may have a lifetime of practice defending their revolution, but nothing compares to the horrors of the posting wars.
"being elevated to sapience by the USSR"
Just laughed like an idiot for 2 minutes straight in the VC watching WKUK. This is literally perfect.
The main thing I learned about the 20th century that made it all make sense, is that the leadership of the Western Allied countries all believe their countries fought on the wrong side of WW2. You don't need to look any further than their actions in Latin America to support that claim.
It's weird, right? I've met people in college, talked with them for months, then randomly the subject of politics comes up and as it turns out they've read way more Marxist theory than me. Completely random people, in STEM (which is definitely more full of chuds than comrades but still). Makes you wonder how many politicized people there are out there who just haven't gotten organized.
Last time I saw one here, a bunch of great comrades from the news megathread dogpiled them with walls of text, literally so much text I had to scroll for a considerable amount of time. I don't think that's ever getting old.
This. Is. A. Pig. That. Has. Pooped. On. Its. Own. Balls.
"people"
the bourgeois are not human
democracy is when you ban all the opposition parties
I don't know if you count it as an invasion, but giving the Ukrainian Armed Forces the child-murder rounds that stay active in the ground for decades is surely not a position of moral superiority? And liberals are just as guilty as Putin for this war by engaging in NATO expansionist brinkmanship in Ukraine.
IDK where I land between genuinely thinking a revolution will ever happen in the imperial core (at least in a meaningful amount of time before it all collapses due to climate change) but I think it's also possible to think, "We might never see a revolution here, but we can do our best to lay the groundwork for one and seed enough class consciousness as to prevent further US imperialist interventionism" which is different to defeatism IMO. Not that revolutionary defeatism doesn't also have its place.
