Congratulations, I can now put a name and a face to the Woodside climate criminals.

I thought you were required to wash off makeup before a mugshot?

Much prefer a cage match between Musk and one of the many Twitter employees he stiffed. I am sure there would be no shortage of Twitter volunteers.

He is shaped like William Taft.

Think how much more of a security threat she would be if she had passed 3rd grade.

Musk and his backers (various authoritarian regimes) probably intended only to amplify the voices of the far right and other loonies, not to kill the platform itself. But that was always going to be difficult to thread that needle, made impossible by Musk's absolute lack of self awareness or self control. The fact that not only Musk is going to lose a lot of money when Twitter dies fills me with joy.

I appreciate that it is a bit far for many of you to travel there, but Melbourne is fabulous on so many levels - the racing, support program, access etc

I have to use WhatsApp for business because that is what my colleagues are wedded to. But I hate the fact that it is part of Meta, I cancelled by FB account 5 years ago and it bugs me that this last tie remains. I have however successfully migrated my whole family to SIGNAL which is vastly better than WhatsApp or Telegram, and certainly more transparent.

Implicit in the question is the hope that Reddit will buckle so we can all happily go back there. However this whole debacle has opened people's eyes to a better, brighter future for the internet, where not all is controlled by large corporations. So even if Reddit does buckle, many will stick around at Lemmy. Not because Lemmy's content is better (it will be eventually, although now it remains a bit sparse) but because the whole ethos is superior.

Strange as it may sound, the Orange fella is not my first pick for the tumbrel. He is certainly up there in the first 4 or 5. But number one is surely Rupert, followed by the Cock (deliberate misspelling) brothers...

I mean, if you are going to commit treason you may as well go big or go home.
