My basil plant was not able to keep up with demand.

It's ferns for me. Not a single one has survived.

Ferns managed to outlive the dinosaurs and survived a fucking cataclysmic meteor

But you managed to kill them?

Respect

Multiple times! Different types of fern, different rooms, different ways of watering, levels of light, fertiliser, misting with water... it made me half mad. I had to ban myself from buying more.

I don't like to say "I killed the plant", per se.

I like to say "I keep it in a complex perpetual interplay of life and death".

A Schroedinger's plant, you could say.

It’s not a dead plant, it’s an art installation.
