what app do you use to view posts on here?

I was using wefwef.app and am considering hosting my own. what do you all use?

I'm waiting for "Sync for Lemmy" to be released in a couple months

Till then, jerboa

[-] gbrls@infosec.pub 6 points 1 year ago

Jerboa, works fine

[-] br3ad@infosec.pub 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I am trying both Jerboa and wefwef. Wefwef seems to feel less smooth in my experience.

Edit: Also installed Liftoff and it seems to be working well.

but you cant beat there update schedule... there has been like 10 versions in 3 days...

sadly Jerboa is Android, and I am stuck on iOS due to "regulations"...

[-] br3ad@infosec.pub 3 points 1 year ago

Jerboa has a smoother scroll but it does lack the swipe post actions which I was starting to enjoy.

On iOS you get to have the PWA, which is done by adding the site to the homescreen and launching that. Cohost has a really nice PWA presence, Lemmy is so-so.

Jerboa, but it's like one of two in F-Droid. Not opposed to the Play Store, but started defaulting to F-Droid for apps lately.

Memmy is easily my favorite out of all the apps.

[-] RandomBits@infosec.pub 3 points 1 year ago

Memmy and mlem.

[-] kev@nrsk.no 3 points 1 year ago

Memmy, it have been improving enormously just in the past week

[-] CubitOom@infosec.pub 3 points 1 year ago

Connect as of now. But I'm excited for boost.

Memmy

gkasdorf is doing an amazing job adopting Apollo-like principals and interface while keeping it lightweight, it works exceptionally well.

Thunder is my default, but I do cheat a bit with Liftoff as well. I tried wefwef a bit on desktop, but found it lacking when working with keyboard navigation, but other than that it works well.

Browser or Jerboa. Also have another one installed but it looks like the developer hasn't developed much further since Jan 31st and is still in early development. The app is Lemmotif and I wish the developer would try to develop it more.

Browser only (firefox) on my laptop

[-] TWhack@infosec.pub 2 points 1 year ago

Another plug for Thunder. I think it's overlooked, and after trying a few on mobile, I keep going back to it. It just feels like the smoothest experience so far.

I was mostly using wefwef, but now that Memmy was released for iOS, I'll likely be sticking to that.

[-] TheButtonJustSpins@infosec.pub 2 points 1 year ago

Was on browser until recently; been on Liftoff for the past couple days.

Lemmy Native - but only out of ignorance. Gunna start looking at these now.

[-] Sysosmaster@infosec.pub 2 points 1 year ago

NIce, I was going for the "our instance" perspective... but I did completely miss this post. thank you.

[-] Sysosmaster@infosec.pub 1 points 1 year ago

https://lemmy.world/post/465785 is the Original (non French) post with a bit more details on it.

[-] N7x@infosec.pub 2 points 1 year ago

Oh yes sorry for that, should have posted the one you linked

[-] Sysosmaster@infosec.pub 2 points 1 year ago

No worries, I added it for clarity, not to correct you.

[-] ptolemy@infosec.pub 1 points 1 year ago

Connect for now, but waiting for Boost or Sync.

[-] garrett@infosec.pub 1 points 1 year ago
