TL;DR: On voting rights, Insert_Candidate is a classic Republican vote suppressor.

We still are living with Nixon's war on hippie and black voting rights, i.e. the war on drugs.

So yeah, classic and continuous.

Moderator: What is your stance on Voting Rights and Democracy?

Any Candidate: The real question the American People are concerned about is the woke gays grooming our children. I for one am against it! Next subject, please.

What a beautiful title. Don't even have to read the article to know the outcome. [America,] where the GOP candidates stand on voting rights and democracy

No offense, but halfway through skimming this I started seriously wondering if it was satire. It was about as negative as you can get. How about we set down this republican vs. democrat stuff and start just going pro-america. If anything is going to destroy america, it is going to be this continuous "us vs. evil them" dialogue.

It is the continuous us vs evil them becsuse the Republicans keep doing evil things. Like taking away voting access, demonizing people for being LGBTQ+, advocating violence, and trying to overthrow a secure election where the Dem candidate won both the popular and electoral college vote.

Fuck you.

It was about as negative as you can get.

What did it say that was wrong? It appears to me that negative people are doing negative things, and that’s the reason this article must exist.

If a candidate wants to kick puppies, and someone reports on it, we don’t chastise the reporter for reporting on it: we tell the candidate they need to stop kicking puppies.

Unfortunately it is not satire. The Republican candidates are anti-democracy and are all for laws making it harder to vote for those who generally do not vote Republican.

Pro-America is a nice goal. But if one of the two political parties in this country is:

Anti Voting Rights

Anti Education

Anti Environment

Anti Library

Anti Women's Rights

Anti Freedom of Religion (except for, y'know, that one)

Anti Veteran

Anti Doing Anything About Gun Violence

Anti Healthcare

Anti Tax Reform

Anti Goddamned Peaceful Transfer Of Power After An Election

Then you'll have to excuse me if I don't buy the 'both sides are the same' bullshit.
