Making notification sounds quieter on a non-rooted FP5 (lemmy.one)

Hi all, I've had my FP5 for a few months now. I usually have my notifications on vibrate only, simply because I think even the lowest volume level for notifications is too loud.

So I'm wondering, is there a way to go below the lowest possible volume for notifications somehow, and preferably without rooting. Or should I try my luck making a feature request at Fairphone?

Might be a bit tedious if you use a lot of different sounds for different apps, but could you make some custom notification tone files with lower volume? I just checked the mp3 trimmer app that I've used to make some custom tones of my own, and it has an option to adjust the volume of the output file.

I don't really have any way to confirm this, but I think the latest update fixed it for me.

After updating I could take down the notification volume by 2-3 notches and it feels significantly quieter now. Soo... problem solved!
