I am far more hopeful for this.
Max payne 3 was a game. A Rockstar game. But not a very good max payne game.

Yeah it is.
Sam Lake and Remedy made masterpieces of story telling and atmosphere. Rockstar made a third person shooter. Polished and plentiful, not a bad game at all. But it was very far removed from what made Max Payne 1 and 2 great games.
You must be fun at parties.
