I guess they felt Romania was only a couple of steps up from a training match. I'm sure they were questioning the decision after he got that knee into the wrist after his first try but in the end it turned out to be a good decision.

Hasn’t played in about six and a half years so needs some easy game time to work out the kinks, I guess.
