I know a 30 year old who joined the military in response to 9/11. At that time both Democrats and Republicans supported the war efforts. Guy wasn't the brightest, but also wasn't the dumbest.
I know a 30 year old engineer and Mormon that joined the military this year. He joined after the US invaded Venezuela but before we invaded Iran. On a personal level I hope he survives, but realistically I hope his kill count to death ratio is below 1:1.
